What we commit to
Team Millers is a boutique strategic consultancy specialising in marketing, branding and growth strategy. We typically work with executive teams, management teams and marketing or communications departments on challenges where strategy and execution meet. We believe in direct collaboration, honest agreements and senior involvement from start to finish. For each engagement, we document what we will do, what we will deliver, the timeline we will follow and the associated investment. That way, both parties know exactly where they stand. Our advice is based on the information available at the time. The client remains responsible for the decisions they make and for how advice is implemented within their organisation. We give our full effort, but we do not promise specific outcomes — too many factors depend on market conditions, timing, execution, budget, internal decision-making and the behaviour of customers or other stakeholders. Our general terms and conditions apply to all quotes, engagements and agreements. These terms cover the full arrangements regarding scope of work, payment, intellectual property, confidentiality, liability, termination, governing law and disputes. We briefly summarise the key provisions below. The complete general terms and conditions are always included with the engagement confirmation.
Team Millers Terms and Conditions
Collaboration and planning
A successful engagement requires collaboration. We therefore expect the client to provide the right information, feedback and decisions in a timely manner.
If information arrives late, is incomplete, or the brief changes during the project, this may affect the timeline, costs and final output. In that case, we discuss together what is needed to keep the project on track.
Work outside the agreed scope is treated as additional work. Examples include extra analyses, additional rounds of presentations, new deliverables, accelerated deadlines or work for other parts of the organisation. We aim to align on additional work in advance wherever possible.
Payment
The arrangements regarding fees, rates, expenses and invoicing are set out in the quote or engagement confirmation.
Invoices must be paid within the agreed term. If payment is not received, we may suspend our work until the outstanding invoice has been settled.
Rights to materials
Upon payment, the client may use the delivered materials for the purpose for which they were created.
Certain elements remain the property of Team Millers, including our existing methodologies, formats, models, templates, working methods and general knowledge. Where such elements are used in an engagement, the client receives a licence to use them for the agreed scope of work.
Without a separate arrangement, materials may not be resold, shared with third parties or used for other brands, companies, campaigns or purposes than those for which they were created.
Confidentiality
We treat information received in the context of an engagement as confidential. This includes, for example, strategy, client information, commercial plans, financial information, internal documents and other non-public information.
In turn, we ask clients to treat our proposals, pricing agreements, methodologies, models and materials with the same confidentiality.
Liability
We carry out our work with care and professionalism. That said, strategy and communications advice is inherently a human endeavour, and its impact depends on many circumstances beyond our direct control. Our general terms and conditions therefore limit our liability to a maximum of the amount invoiced by Team Millers (excluding VAT) and/or the maximum payout under Team Millers' professional liability insurance. This limitation does not apply in cases of intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of Team Millers' management.
Termination of the engagement
Projects and working relationships sometimes change along the way. Our general terms and conditions set out when an engagement may be terminated and what costs remain due in that event.
As a general rule, the client pays for work already performed, costs incurred and commitments that can no longer reasonably be cancelled.
